On 13th February 2006 St. Paul Busende Secondary School started at Busende Primary School as a community project. The school was initially managed by the Busende Primary School Headteacher - Mr. Paul Okello Radiore and a committee of thirty members. The initial enrollment was five students and three teachers. Eventually the school was registered as a public mixed day secondary school on 3rd July 2009 with one stream. The school entered its first set of KCSE candidates in 2009 to sit for the Kenya National Examination (KNEC) exams. The school has since grown to a population of 267 students in two streams in Forms 1&2 and one stream each for Forms 3&4. The school has 8 permanent Classrooms, one, one Laboratory, five(5) Offices, one Dining Hall and Kitchen. The current staffing is 13 including 4 teachers serving under Board of Management. The non-teaching staff are eight in number. The school has had four (4) headteachers since registration
